Burgess Falls Paddleboard Adventure
Time & Location
About the Event
Join Sunshine's Adventures for a picturesque paddle to Burgess Falls! The only way to access the base of this amazing waterfall is by paddling in. Let Sunshine's Adventures guide you and provide the paddleboards for you to experience this amazing adventure! We will launch from Cane Hollow and paddle up Center Hill Lake to the base of Burgess Falls. We'll keep an eye out for birds and turtles as we approach the falls. Once we arrive at the falls, we will take time to enjoy the sights and sounds, snap photos and get up close to the falls before returning to Cane Hollow where we started. This is a 4-mile round trip paddle.
Cost: $70 per person
Duration: ~4 hours on the water
Note: In spring and summer, it’s usually possible to paddle all the way to the base of the falls. In late summer and fall, the water level starts to drop and we may need to beach the paddleboards and walk to the falls. Please bring water shoes for walking around at the base of the falls and rain paints are highly recommended to keep your bottom half dry and warm. Keep in mind this tour is planned for mid-October which can have unpredictable weather and might be chilly. Additionally, paddleboarding up a river towards the waterfall requires effort so you will need to be in good physical condition to paddle for 4 miles round trip, roughly 4 hours in total. After A LOT of rain, it can be difficult to paddle up to the falls. If it becomes too difficult to paddle up to the waterfall, we will contact you to reschedule or refund your trip.
